Production



VIZULO has production facilities in Iecava, Latvia – a perfect place for delivering high-quality products while having a value for money pricing policy. The professional staff of the ESD zone department produce ready-made products at high speed, thus making deliveries of even large orders in a short time.


 

ELECTRONIC PRODUCTION LINE

 

VIZULO employs hi-tech automated electronic production lines – a high-speed surface mount technology line and selective soldering line. This gives great flexibility in specific LED module development and custom made production, as well as a possibility to produce any other electronics device – such as surge protection devices and different smart sensors.

 

 

METAL WORK DIVISION

 

A variety of metal working equipment has been installed in 2016 – a large size CNC mill, sheet metal punching machine, sheet metal folding machine and other machines for indoor and outdoor luminaire production.

 

 

HIGH-SPEED POWDER COATING LINE

 

A high speed 400 m2 large luminaire powder coating conveyor system is used to ensure an excellent quality coating process.

 

LUMINAIRE ASSEMBLY LINE

 

When the metal working and powder coating process is finished, mechanical parts arrive at the luminaire assembly line – where LED modules from the electronic production line are assembled with other parts. Thus the majority of the luminaire production process is performed in-house.

 

QUALITY AND TESTING

 

Photometric tests – light distribution, colourimetric testing and photobiological safety testing.
Quality tests of different types of coatings including powder coatings – neutral salt spray testing (NSST), Machu tests, measurement of thickness of coating layer.
IP class testing, IK class testing, temperature testing, vibration and shock testing, EMC testing is organised in cooperation with well-known and reputable certification bodies in Europe.


Design and development services



Our engineers can help to develop different boards for your applications. After consultations about required PCB parameters, we will design the boards using CAD software. When the PCB design is finalized, we order the PCB prototype from reliable manufacturers and afterwards SMT components can be soldered in our SMT production line.

Warranty



This document sets forth the warranty rules for LED outdoor lighting products (“Products”) sold by SIA VIZULO SOLUTIONS (LLC) (“VIZULO”). Unless otherwise stipulated in the purchase agreement, the warranty for Products is only applicable to the party purchasing the Products (“Purchaser”) directly from VIZULO or authorised VIZULO distributer or dealer. This is a standard warranty by default applicable to the Purchaser. On request a customized warranty can be agreed after evaluation of the specific application conditions. VIZULO warrants that Products, when delivered in new condition and in its original packaging, will be free of defects for a period stated below if rules set in this warranty have been respected.


 

1.WARRANTY PERIOD

The foregoing warranty shall be valid for the period mentioned below:

 

 

 

2.WARRANTY CONDITIONS

2.1. VIZULO warranty is valid only if Products are properly handled, stored, wired, transported, installed and used in accordance with the installation and operating instructions and the operating conditions of Products are in accordance with the environmental conditions provided in the specification, information on the Products, IEC standards, packaging or any document attached to the Product, and taking into account the specific tolerances on flux and system power, as mentioned in the Product’s technical specification.

2.2. The working environment and conditions of Products should qualify with the relevant technical specification where exact temperature and voltage range, IP class, IK class and electrical safety class is defined. The values of temperatures and voltages mentioned in Product’s technical specification must not be exceeded.

2.3. This warranty covers Product failures caused by material, design or production faults.

2.4. Purchase receipt for the Product has to be available for inspection by VIZULO.

2.5. If VIZULO determines to its satisfaction that this warranty applies to the Product, VIZULO will, at its option, repair or replace the Product or the defective part thereof, or reimburse Purchaser for the purchase price, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein.

2.6. If VIZULO chooses to replace the Product and is not able to do so because it has been discontinued or is not available, VIZULO may replace it with a comparable product (that may make small deviations in designs and Product specification). VIZULO reserves the right to use new, reconditioned, refurbished, repaired or remanufactured products or parts in the repair or replacement of any Product covered by this warranty.

2.7. A Product shall not be considered defective solely as a result of the failure of individual LED components to emit light if the number of inoperable components is less than 10% of the total number of LED components in the Product.

2.8. The determination of whether the Products are defective shall be made by VIZULO in its sole discretion with consideration given to the overall performance of the Products.

2.9. Products shall be purchased directly from VIZULO, an authorised VIZULO distributer or dealer.

2.10. Third party products sold by VIZULO are not covered under this warranty.

 

3. SPECIAL CONDITIONS

3.1. Warranty period starts on the date of VIZULO invoice unless it is otherwise stipulated in the Products purchase agreement.

3.2. The power of the luminaries has to be measured 1-2 hours after the lights have been switched on.

3.3. VIZULO shall have access to the failed Products and to the fixtures used to operate Products. VIZULO reserves the right to visit the site and carry out necessary measurements.  If the fixture or other parts become suspect, VIZULO shall have the right to evaluate the lighting system components and application.

3.4. The warranty is only valid if the minimum and maximum ambient temperature that is specified in the technical specification of the Product is respected.

3.5. The warranty for outdoor Products is only valid for maximum one switching per day.

3.6. This warranty does not apply and VIZULO will not change any components or will not repair the Products because of stains, scratches, grooves, colouration defects.

3.7. A new warranty period will not start in case of repair or replacement of the Product after approved claim.

3.8. The warranty period is based on a burning behaviour of max 4000 hours/year and the warranty applies when the lumen depreciation is below 80% of the original lumen output installed.

3.9. Dimming and application of network control systems have no influence on the warranty period.

 

4. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND WHEN:

4.1. The Product has been repaired, modified or transformed by any person or company other than VIZULO.

4.2. Defects or damages have occurred because of incorrect or inappropriate storage, installation or maintenance, including inappropriate external environmental factors or in case of abnormal use or use in violation of any applicable standard, code or instruction for use including but not limited to those contained in the latest safety, industry and electrical standards for the region.

4.3. Defects or damages have occurred because of the incorrect supply voltage, including over-voltages and any other problems in the power supply system.

4.4. Defect or damage was caused by physical interference, vandalism, military operations, disturbances or unrest, terrorism, natural disasters, by a car crush or any other Acts of God.

4.5. Defect or damage was caused by any ancillary installations or accessories that are not supported or recommended by the VIZULO.

4.6. The labels or serial numbers of the Product or any part thereof have been altered, obscured or otherwise not readable.

4.7. Defects have occurred as a result of the normal depreciation of use.

4.8. The defect is caused by improper service of the Product performed by someone other than VIZULO or its authorized service provider.

4.9. The Purchaser or any unauthorised person has changed the driver settings of the Product.

 

5. Warranty claims

5.1. Warranty claims (using the warranty claim form available on www.vizulo.com and attaching the copy of VIZULO invoice and CMR) have to be reported to VIZULO within 30 days after discovery (unless otherwise specified in the purchase agreement) specifying at least the following information (additional info may be required on request): details about the failed Product; installation date and invoice date; detailed problem description; date of failure; application, hours burned and switching cycles. VIZULO may require Purchaser to return the Product to VIZULO fright prepaid.

5.2. Warranty claims shall be addressed to SIA "VIZULO Solutions", “Laucu lejas”, Iecava, Iecavas novads, Latvia, LV-3913.

 

6.SUMMARY

6.1. VIZULO warranty rules apply only to Products that have been used in accordance with the purpose of its use and installation and operating instructions.

6.2. The Purchaser has to collect and save all the documentation related to the Product and records of operating history (i.e. previously recognised defects, performed repair works). The Purchaser will have to show this documentation to VIZULO if necessary.

6.3. The costs of the Product demounting, remounting, labour-costs and transportation in order to receive and return items are the responsibility of the Purchaser and are not covered under this warranty.

6.4. In the case of the Product failure, VIZULO quality department will analyse damaged Product samples and on its own insight might decide to repair defective Products or supply adequate Products as a replacement or compensate Products to the Purchaser.

6.5. No agent, distributor or dealer is authorized to change, modify or extend the terms of this warranty on behalf of VIZULO.

6.6. In no event shall VIZULO be liable for special, incidental, consequential, indirect or compensatory damages, including, without limitation, damages resulting from loss of use, profits, business or goodwill even if VIZULO was advised of or was otherwise aware of the possibility of such damages.

6.7. VIZULO has all the rights to acquire the non-conforming or defective Products as soon as they have been replaced.

6.8. This is a limited warranty and excludes, among other items, installation, providing access to products (scaffolding, lift etc.), and special, incidental and consequential damages (such as loss of profits/revenues, damage to property or other miscellaneous costs not previously mentioned). This limited warranty only applies to lighting fixtures specified in article 1 (“WARRANTY PERIOD”). Smart street light controls/sensors and other accessories are not covered under this warranty.

6.9. VIZULO reserves the right to modify this warranty from time to time and any modifications shall be effective for all orders placed on or after the effective date of such revised warranty.

6.10. This warranty states VIZULO’s entire liability and obligations towards Purchaser and Purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy in connection with defective or non-conforming Products, whether or not such damages are based on any warranty not explicitly mentioned in these warranty  rules, tort, contract or any other legal form, even if VIZULO has been advised or is aware of such defect.

6.11. Purchaser shall not rely upon any other documentation or information regarding warranty terms of the Products except this VIZULO Product warranty.

Street & highways



Innovative approach in street and highway lighting is using LED for their low energy cost and brighter light output. LED lamps overpowers any other luminaire while having the same results for total lumens. When it comes to night time as new and new researches show that the scotopic (night vision for humans) lumens are twice as more for LED and the difference can be easily

 

noticed with a naked eye. In short – human eye sensitivity changes during night time and yellow light seems dimmer than white bluish LED light. They outcome other luminaires:
 

  • longer service life
  • low energy costs
  • emitting only in visible range
  • no harmful materials are used in making of them
  • colour rendering is excellent
  • resistant to vibrations and physical impact
  • taking less space
  • dimming can be made with high precision with no colour change

Use of LED luminaires with cool tone provides easier eye adaption when it comes to dusk and night time resulting of less stress for eyes and less chance of glaring.


Education



When it comes to educational purposes, higher ergonomic consistency takes place. Starting with cover material to achieve prime visual demands such as illuminance and glare at flat and steep angles. With proper LED luminaire placement, e.g., proper table and blackboard illumination, emitted light resembling daylight enhances cognitive performance as well stabilises the inner biological


clock and overall sense of well-being, improving people’s concentration and performance. Stimulating the overall well-being with balanced out direct/indirect luminaires improves communication and teamwork. Flexible use of rooms and seating position is an achieved requirement when there is new teaching methods and media technology usage combined with frequent light adjustment. This is a key point in making the best out of study process. LED management gives an opportunity in high energy efficiency taking into account that frequent switching and dimming does not affect the service life of LED’s.


Industry



Lighting in industry can be characterised with requirements for energy saving, empowerment (increasing performance) and maintenance factors. Sometimes up to 24 working hours with reduced daylight results in need for highly efficient technologies. Investing in LED lighting will pay for itself on a very short time-scale thanks to low energy costs and extensive use of daylight alike


lighting with reduced actual daylight perfectly complies with flexibility in production facilities. Not forgetting cleanliness and security where low maintenance, i.e., small sized and easy to clean luminaires comes in. Covering materials are chosen to be resistant not only to cleaning reagents but also dust or gases produced in making the products. Special degrees of ingress protection (IP) will be adjusted for each type of industry: shock-hazard and protection against outer unfamiliar solid ingress; water flowing in the luminaire and also fire protection.


Retail



Along with increasing energy efficiency awareness more dimmable luminaries are used in retail. Skilful placement of lights can be described as having high level of comfort and flexibility while having low maintenance effort. Lighting direction, different luminance degrees and colour brightness to set the scene and stimulate possible customers. Moreover according luminaire direction (diffuse,


direct) – excellent colour rendering can be achieved along to accent goods, present them in greater detail and authenticate with a three dimensional effect – interchanging diffuse and directed light. Use of LED technology provides sustainability – replacing the luminaires with higher efficiency, lighting quality; comparing operating and input costs. Going along with nature – LED lighting provides high colour rendering that means more natural colours of goods while being basically free from hazardous IR and UV radiation. Both combined gives a gentle illumination of newest products that results in boosting the sales.


Facade & architecture



Nowadays more and more facades are illuminated to enhance, accent the appearance of the building during night time. The biggest problem – costs – is solved with LED lighting for their durability, high efficiency and low energy costs. Good choice is to promote a corporation building or any accommodation availability that has influence on tourist visit and staying longer. LED

To sum up we take three aspects – enhancing the building to keep its appearance at every hour of the day, adjusting proper light colour and paying attention to architectural details; human perception – draw attention with creative brighter lights during evening and morning hours; responsibility towards light pollution – stray light reduction, using at certain day hours, not disturbing people interaction with the facade.


Health



Having luminaires with long service time while switched on most of the time or specific clean room lighting is a key point to have a suitable health establishment. Careful glare limitation planning and daylight compensation with best colour rendering artificial lighting provides stability of inner biological clock as most of the time is spent indoors. Times involving resting and sleeping must be


assisted with biologically potent manmade lighting with high intensity levels or this time large bluish component accordingly to the certain daytime. Emotional state of patients must be preserved so age appropriate bedside lighting, emergency lighting, hallway lighting (using indirect luminaires) is LED priority as to enhance comfort and increase efficiency. Specific lighting with higher illuminance level is needed for e.g. stimulation during night shifts and operation rooms where high precision lighting, while not occupying a lot of space, requires easy maintenance and is fit for sterile room standards. Eyes lose their acuity with age and for more subtle visual tasks artificial light compensates the loss with highly effective bluish components filtered out.

It can be done either with highlighting architectural elements, either decorating the façade and indoors. Every lighting action should be considered taking into account national and regional regulations and also using LED sustainability. The


visitor’s needs are the top priority and as they come to rest intuitive lighting design will become the key point in making the best of their stay, leaving satisfied with empowered feeling. In lighting management more can be achieved with LED’s insusceptibility to dimming and frequent switching in order to make gentle and dynamic changes in light tones. Gradual light change or predefined lighting scenes involving specific pools of light and dark areas when moving from, e.g. hallway to spa room, gives certain feeling of security and lowering the chances of anxiety due to minor dazzle. Indirect or distributed illumination, glare limitation also at steep angles reduces the chance of such unwanted situation.


Art & Culture



Not only people, but also paintings/artwork require proper and adjusted lighting. Those more sensitive to light receive different level of illumination or different colour of light (lower LED colour temperature lowers the pressure on the exhibits). In art lighting is a necessity to present the artwork to its full potential, using diffuse lighting, accenting the light to raise the level of excitement and also


directingthe viewer’s attention. LED spotlights with proper dimming and optics, LED luminaires with reduced IR and UV radiation. Not mentioning only artwork, the appearance of the room, the architecture can be enhanced with directed or diffused luminaires thinking of environment and so utilising the daylight if possible to optimum result.

1.DEFINITIONS

 

1.1 Agreement – a purchase or distribution agreement concluded between VIZULO and Purchaser and its annexes.

1.2 Customer Registration Form – form filled by Purchaser in order to provide relevant basic information about Purchaser.

1.3 Intellectual Property  -  any patent, copyright, registered design, trade mark or other industrial or intellectual property right in respect of the Products, and applications for any of the foregoing.

1.4 Parties – VIZULO and Purchaser together.

1.5 Product or Products - LED outdoor and indoor luminaries produced by SIA “VIZULO”.

1.6 Product Order Form - form, which according to the Agreement is used by the Purchaser to order the Products.

1.7 Product Quote - form which according to the Agreement is used by VIZULO to set the price payable and conditions applied for the delivery of Products.

1.8 Purchaser - purchaser or distributer of the Products that have signed the Agreement with VIZULO.

1.9 Terms and Conditions - these VIZULO Terms and Conditions.

1.10 VIZULO - SIA “VIZULO Solutions”. 

 

2. GENERAL FRAMEWORK

 

2.1 The basis for delivery of Products is the Agreement concluded between VIZULO and the Purchaser.

2.2 These Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the Agreement.

2.3 VIZULO guarantees that Products have been manufactured in accordance with standards of the European Union and comply with the requirements laid down in laws and regulations of Latvia.

2.4 Any of the Purchaser’s terms and conditions that are different from or in addition to these Terms and Conditions shall have no effect unless specifically agreed by VIZULO in writing.

2.5 Purchaser has to fill and send to VIZULO Customer Registration Form before starting Product price request and Product orders.

 

3. PROCEDURE OF ORDERING PRODUCTS

 

3.1 VIZULO is providing Product Quote in e-mail to Purchaser - stating product prices, delivery terms, payment method and other relevant information on return Purchaser send Product Order Form before each order. In case of differences between Product Quote and Product Order form, information in Product Quote is dominant.

3.2 For each category of Products sold, the Parties to the transaction shall complete and execute a Quote, which establishes the particular terms and conditions governing the purchase of the specific Products.
